Design and Technology

In Key Stage 3 Design and Technology comprises modules of study in:

q       Resistant Materials

q       Food Technology

q       Textiles Technology

q       Graphic Products

All students follow two different module structures:

q       ‘Focused practical tasks’

q       ‘Design and make courses’

These are designed to teach both practical and skill application and create sound knowledge and understanding in preparation of GCSE courses.

Key Stage 4 students have the option to study Design and Technology specialising in-

q       Food Technology

q       Textiles Technology   or

q       Resistant Materials

q       Graphic Products GCSE will be offered from September 200l.
