Humanities
The Humanities teaching programme comprises Geography, History and
Religious Education for Years 8 and 9 and follows the Key Stage 3 requirements
of the National Curriculum.

Considerable emphasis is placed
upon enquiry-based approaches to learning, leading to a breadth of knowledge and
understanding of the past and present.

Homework in each subject is set
regularly.
Religious Education (Core)
Religious Education is taught to all students in Years 8 through to 11
and is based on Merton’s SACRE ‘Agreed Syllabus’.
The curriculum is designed to help students acquire and develop knowledge and
understanding of Christianity and the other principle religions represented.
