Humanities The Humanities teaching programme comprises Geography, History and
Religious Education for Years 8 and 9 and follows the Key Stage 3 requirements
of the National Curriculum. q
Considerable emphasis is placed
upon enquiry-based approaches to learning, leading to a breadth of knowledge and
understanding of the past and present. q
Homework in each subject is set
regularly. Religious Education (Core) Religious Education is taught to all students in Years 8 through to 11
and is based on Merton’s SACRE ‘Agreed Syllabus’.
