We undertake a wide range of
before and after school clubs.

Students are trained to support
younger students with their reading and to help others to achieve more as part
of a Peer Mentoring Scheme.

Key Stage 3 students participate
in activities designed to accelerate their personal and social development.
q
Interactive Week is very popular
and centres on residential activities and team building.
q
Year 9 students have the
opportunity to work within the local community in a range of activities
including environmental projects and working in special schools.
q
Students participate in an
Industry Day with many visitors from the local business community.
q
In Key Stage 4 revision classes
are held for Year ll students during the Easter holidays and are well attended.
q
A mentoring scheme come into
operation, which allows teachers and other adults to give additional one to one
support and guidance to students as they approach their GCSEs.
q
In Year 10 students attend a two
week Work Experience placement.
q
Students are also responsible for
the production of the annual Year Book which Year 11 take away as a memento of their final year.
q
Students participate in the Duke
of Edinburgh Award Scheme, in which they demonstrate independence, organisation
and acquire new skills: qualities viewed favourably by college and employers.
q
Residential trips are organised
throughout the year including Field trips, Language trips abroad and Ski trips
the last to New Hampshire, USA.
