The Outdoor Experience Trip (Camping)

¨      Students choosing this activity will be involved in the planning and organisation of a camping trip. They will learn the pitching and striking of tents, map reading, planning meals and the correct methods of packing equipment.

¨      Travel to the camp site will depart from the school on the morning of Wednesday 11^th July.

¨      This specialist camping centre offer 210 acres of camp sites, set in 2,000 acres of woodland. The group will be fortunate enough to have the exclusive use of a brand new £10 million sports centre.

¨      Students will share a tent with 3 – 4 other students, and they will be expected to prepare and cook their own meals on the cookers provided. They will undertake a wide range of activities including map reading, compass work, night hikes, roller skating, absailing, canoeing, swimming, shooting and orienteering. BMX  racing bikes and motorised go-karts are available for hire on a purpose built track which is included in the cost.
